Case history

  • 40-year-old patient with longstanding epilepsy had their anti-epileptic medication changed following an increase in seizure frequency.

Cytotoxic Lesion of the Corpus Callosum (CLOCC)

  • CT showed low density in the splenium of the corpus callosum.
  • On MRI, there was T2-hyperintensity and diffusion restriction in the splenium of the corpus callosum.
  • A cytotoxic lesion of the corpus callosum (CLOCC) is a reversible clinicoradiological entity associated with a wide range of aetiologies including anti-epileptic drug changes, metabolic disturbances, and infection.
